Finally! An iMac rumor!!!!
**Bump**
One can't never have enough iMac rumours! What a breath of fresh air.
Please, please, please let the refreshed iMac drop the May 3rd (I *highly* doubt any new iMac's will be released next week).

Tits Up very zoon!
They should of marketed it as a Video player that plays music. That way it distinguishes itself from the iPod which is a music player that plays video. Sounds crazy but in marketing terms they are two completely different things and MS could of capitalised on this a little.

For the love of god Steve, you need to come out with a TiVo/Media Center PC KILLER. I would love to see that.

...Apple is turning into a company of douche bags.
So apple should just do nothing.

That's a very nice feature! Too bad it won't work for apps not from the app store...
It does.

WOW!!! iCal looks *********g UGLY... I hope they add an option to use a standard gray toolbar area... That seems so unlike apple to do something like that.
Heh.. What if they give everything that look :). I think I would switch to windows if they did that..
I don't understand why everyone seems to dislike the "new" iCal so much. Clearly, it was adopted by iPad iOS at first and now by Mac OS X Lion. Nothing new here. Nothing unexpected.
I don't remember people disliking/complaining about the iCal look on iPad at all. I tell ya, people complain just for the sake of complaining. What a crowd.

They are fine on my 07 8 cores Mac Pro. Even light encoding is fine...
I also have the terminal going with 6 tabs, each running folding on another machine. I worried about iTunes because I had heard that it took quite a bit of cpu, but not for me it doesn't seem to have any effect on folding.
interesting. well i might get a mac pro someday. my homebuilt machine is a big hassle and i'm not there to work on it. i would rather have a computer that i can fold and use regularly

One more thing... they'll change the name from iMac to Mac, bringing a perfect symmetry to their product line-up:
Mac
Mac Pro
MacBook
MacBook Pro
Umm, no. They would have changed the name in January when they did the MBP and went intel. The i will stay because it is the internet or integrated Mac

Best handling car i have ever driven.... have a 5 month old little boy though so i think its days are numbered in favour of a truck!
Why would you need a truck to haul around a 50 pound boy? Keep the Lotus! Don't let your wife pressure you into buying a Toyota Highlander!!

Yes I can drive one. I also think that if you can't drive one, you shouldn't be allowed to drive period. Automatics are just things to get you from point A to B, whereas a standard transmission car is something you use for fun, with getting from point A to B just being a side effect.

Wonder if the wireless ipod wont be the iphone, and the release of itunes 7 will also come along with the release of either?
Going wireless is inevitable, even entry level PDA's not have wifi (802.11b and g) and reviewers are critisising the mac pro for the lack of bluetooth as a default. The world is going wireless, its just a matter of time.

I bet it will be BTO when it is introduced at WWDC.
I'd think the option would come a bit later. I mean, who wants an optical drive that can currently play nothing and burn to nothing which will cost them $500-$1000 on a machine that is already very pricey.

Anyone dares to read "Vista 2" as "Vista too"?
Virtualisation built-in so Leopard does Vista too?
Would surprise me, but still...

So far I have picked up the Griffin Reveal, Belkin Grip Vue, and the Case-Mate Gelli case. All great cases and they all fit with a Wrapsol original on the back, just have to massage it into place. I have a clear bodyguardz but haven't tried it out yet to see if it will fit.

Last time we played we beat you 3-0 in England im pretty sure.
We should have won the bloody world cup.
We dominated against Italy until Grosso dived and got the most dodgy penalty in history, then we would have smashed ukraine in the quarters, then we would have been in the semi's against Germany, then anythign could have happened. Lets just say FIFA didnt want us to win, because its the one sport we 'aren't meant to dominate'. So the ref played it that way.
People should have learned not to count out an Aussie. Our spirit means we have the best in every field from sport to soldiers.
We would kick ur ass
Hahah bloody arrogant Australian.
YOU'RE STILL A COLONY OF SHEEP SHAGGERS! :D

will final cut express get an update too?
I am guessing yes. If it is kept at all.
Then a similar move with Logic
But I am curious about the rest of the suite and the remaining missing features from Shake

Would something in this realm be feasible for the mini updates? Just wondering while waiting for updates. Of course this is very vague on my part.
$499: Core solo - 1.5
$599: Core duo Yonah - 1.66
$699: Core duo Yonah - 1.83
$799: Core 2 duo Merom - low end (Not sure what that is)
Won't happen, all Core Solos are now the same price as the 1.66 GHz Core2 Duo. So, the Solo is dead. And, regrettably, a price drop is unlikely.

Do the macpros have a powersuppy with about an extra 500w for a 6970? And the 8 pin and 6 pci-e power ports?

Just picked up this on Saturday:
(Sold my 96 Audi A4 2.8L 3 weeks ago. I must say, I do NOT recommend Audi engines, even though I had no problems.)
