I'm in the same boat. My original RIR is denied because of screw up by the company and lawyer (they admit it). They are exploring the option of converting from TR to RIR.

She is one of the pro-immigration leader and deserves a Thank You. Updated her Wiki profile with the below:
'Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren has shown exemplary leadership and conviction when she made USCIS honor the decision of July 2007 Visa Bulletin and again accepting employment-based I-485 (Adjustment of Status) filings. USCIS had earlier reversed their decision and had stopped accepting the application for adjustment of status. With Zoe's timely involvement and pressure from pro-immigration skilled professionals, USCIS re-started acceping the applications and thus avoided a costly litigation against them.'
Please feel free to edit/append. :)

Wall Street Journal has a article about the Greenspan's testimony. The comments seem to be taken over by the anti's. Please comment if you can.

Amazing progress NSC from July 04 - > July 05 :D
They can't beat TSC. For last six months, TSC has progressed, moved backwards and what not, ultimately still stuck at last week of June 2007.
Also, I am wondering. CIS mentioned 15 months estimated time period to process 485 filed during VB gate. (this was in one of the recent visa bulletin) Isn't that 15 months long over by November-2008????? My 485 has not even an LUD since filed in July 2007, I am sure many others are in same boat.

I am currently living in the US on H4. I will be getting my H1 approval in a couple of weeks.
What will be my status till Oct 1st from the day my H1 is approved?
You H1 will aproved from oct 1st only.until that time you will be on H4.
Do they send a change of status to me as soon as I get my H1 approval? Or do I need to apply for change of status to H1 after I get approval?
You attorney might have applied while applying your H!.Contact your attorney.
What will happen if I APPLY for my EAD (from my husband, being on H4) before my H1 is approved?
You can apply and don't expect that your EAD will come before H1.
What will happen to my H1 APPROVAL before Oct 1st, if my EAD gets approved on Sept 1st?
No Chance that can happen with volumes of applications to be filed. To get the receipt date only it make take 5-6 months.
What will happen if I get my I20 before I apply for EAD or before my H1 is approved?
I20.can you explain in detail
Please help me out.
Thanks
Please talk to your attorney. My views are personal.

I believe there are very few left before April 1st 2004. EB2 I was stuck at April 1st 2004 for a long time and never moved from that date (excluding 2-3 times for a month or two when2006 people got approved). There will be lot of people from first half of 2004.
Yeah, before it went to Dec 1999, it was June 2004 i think and during the August 2006 current time lots of 2005s and 2006s got approved.
Since its till Jan 2005 this time i reckon its purely gonna be core 2004.

Wow i bought a new toyota in Oct last year and no one asked me my immigration status. Of course i already had a loan with toyota financials for my older car so i guess that worked out to my benefit.
So i guess if some one gets deniend in one place it is not a dead end. They have other banks and credit unions as options and the best option would be a dealer provided finance as they want to sell you the car

I traveled- chicago-frankfurt-bangalore- H1B extended but visa stamp expired. No one asked anything while going.
While coming back they checked my AP at bangalore only (Check-in, indian immigration and boarding). no one asked for it in Frankfurt.
on I-94 that they give in flight, leave the visa issuance date blank (air line crew did not understand what AP is?).

I am starting this thread to collect examples of inefficiencies and inconstencies of USCIS . Also examples of hiding data by USCIS.
Whenever you give example of your experience if possible add:
1. Dates
2. Details of what happened
3. Action that you took and reaction by USCIS.
Some of the examples that I have seen on this forum are 1. Wrong photograph on AP 2. Totally different answers from customer service 3. Internal memo in USCIS not made public about holding visas for EB2 India etc.

I don't think your design skills are quite good enough yet to be starting a studio. No offense but I think you'd be better off with a bit more practice before you step out in to the world of the design industry.

Does it mean that the full case will be covered in 15 days or till the query is send if any... Hope i am being clear..
What my concern is after the query is send and replied, still the 15 day limit stays or it loses that and goes back to the normal processing.
Thankyou
PPS provides faster processing of certain EB petitions and applications. Specifically, USCIS provides 15 calendar day processing to those who choose to use this service or USCIS will refund the PP fee and the relating case will continue to receive faster processing.
The processing period that is used to determine whether or not USCIS meets the 15 calendar day period will begin when the current version of Form I-907, Request for PPS, is received by USCIS at the correct filing address noted on the form. Within the 15 day calendar period USCIS will issue an approval notice, or a NOID, a RFE or open an investigation for fraud or misrepresentation. If the notice requires the submission of additional evidence or of a response to intent to deny, a new 15 calendar day period will begin upon the delivery to USCIS of a complete response to the RFE or NOID.
The information above is from the CIS page:
