The per country limit for countries is 7% and for dependency is 2% . I am not sure what the exact definition of dependency is. The FAM manual lists dependencies. Greenland is listed as a dependency.

I know this is a little late, but based on the ridiculous snail speed of the VB, this is the first time I scrutinized my I-485 receipt and the USCIS online case check.
I, like a lot of others, got my I-140 approved, and then slipped in my I-485 application during the July VB fiasco of 2007.
I have a PDF of the FedEx delivery receipt/signature that it was delivered to the USCIS on July 28th, 2007, a Saturday
On my Receipt, it says the "Received Date" is July 30th, the Monday. I am not going to dispute that 2 days, especially since it was a Saturday.
BUT when I go online to check my case status through the USCIS website, it says
On September 5, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our NEBRASKA SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

I maybe being silly here, but I'd appreciate anyone that can answer my question. I mean, their computer is saying they got my package on September 5th! This doesn't even make sense, cos the July VB fiasco window was over by Aug 15th back in 2007!
Also, just so I know, anyone got their July VB packaged delivered on a Saturday but got a receipt date for the Monday after? (I'll feel a little better if I know I am not cheated here)
Now, i can get back to being grumpy about the VB retrogression/non-movement saga of 2009.

It may be a common thing - swaying away from EB3 to Eb2 for earlier PD holders and there by choking up some EB2 space but shouldn't that cause loosening ( i'm not talking substantial ) in EB3 Priority Date ?
I mean EB3 India Priority Dates seems to have a Coma and that always hover around Aug/Oct 2001 - for last few years its like , it moves like some months and then scrolls down.

As long as you are still doing S/W related job, don't worry about VB , C# or Java etc ...I myself used AC21 rule to change the job and got GC in September.. I know a lot of ppl got GC after using AC21. Most of the ppl, I know (including me) did not inform USCIS about AC21. Ron Gotcher was my attorney and according to him, sending AC21 documents might complicate the case. Also, he informed me that AC21 rule is practiced in a very liberal way by the USCIS ... so don't worry ...

They are already against us and shouting on top of their lungs "SLUMDOG" for the reason that cowards and scared and suppressed people like you never gonna do anything.
The same attitude like yours actually made us slaves for many more years, instead would have got the freedom long long time back.
Next time when your tail is between your legs , do not try to make suggestions.
Average American is not calling anyone slumdog. But Average American guy would be angry if he thought guest worker was saying they work harder than lazy Americans. So to say or spread this idea is not helpful to anybodys goals as CIR needs support from American citizens who will not like being thought of as lazy or not working hard.

Hi all,
Recently I recieved a RFE on ability to pay regarding my I-140.
I started working with a company in July 2006 and applying for I-140 in Nov 2006 with an existing labor of Nov 2004. My company is in losses all the time but I am getting more than proffered wage since I joined. Recently I received RFE regarding ability to pay and my attorney replied for it. Yesterday I received Intent to Deny notice as there is no evidence that company can pay me in 2005.
Please suggest me any options that I can do

I thought about it again and think everyone has the right to post on forum as much as you. If IV does not like it, they will delete it. If you do not like a thread do not read it. Who is forcing you to read a thread? If you want to read something specific to your interest, there is a nice website I found recently. It is called 'Google'. All you have to do is type a keyword and Google will give you back thousands of websites of your interest for free. Isn't this amazing?
