Most of those are the 2011 MacBook Pros I believe, your iMac should perform a bit better if it has a 6770 512MB if running at 1080p. I can't be sure about the performance at 1440p but if you were worried about it you could wait a few more days, maybe a week, to look at some benchmarks.

Might be there for 5 or 6 AM. Have a full day of work that starts at 9 AM and includes going out of town in the afternoon. Can't be sure I'll be up and alert enough to go later in the evening to pick-up. Plus it looks like fun
Same here, leaving on a flight at 2:30, but I don't have to work (I'm a grad student). I was hoping I could show up at 7 am and wait however long it takes and get the phone and still make my flight. I am guessing I don't have to stay up overnight to do that, and hopefully I can still meet cool Mac people.

This pisses me off. He ran this past Tour de France as his last race, and claimed he would retire afterwards. And everyone gave him the whole "bye, Lance, we love you" treatment.
This is almost as bad as Michael Jordan's TWO fake retirements or Barbra Streisand's endless "farewell" tours. If you say you're going to quit, quit. But don't say you're going to quit, act like you HAVE quit, and then say "I'm coming back".
If he comes back, I will lose all of my respect for him. He's been a man of his word up to this point.

I purchased the 2011 13'' MBP about 6 weeks ago (my first Mac laptop btw:cool:) and I am planning to also get an iPad by September. I used my friend's and it is just... well, a really good experience. I plan to use the laptop for work & school and I'll use the iPad for general web browsing, books/news/magazines, entertainment (iTunes, Netflix, games), etc.. I figure it should extend the life of my MBP as well because I expect to use it less once I get an iPad.

I like. Since I've got the Speck PixelSkin HD right now I wouldn't mind if it's bulky. If the kickstand is removable and the price is reasonable I'd get one. Really feeling the black/red colorway.

I'm not sure if this can be done without any problems.
Ok so here is plan B in effect:
Got the retail disc on the way, going to erase my flash drive and put the retail image on that drive. Once I boot from it I'll erase the 1,1's HDD and do a clean install.
Hopefully that works.
I want to thank everyone for their input so far it's been very helpful.
