OK, so it appears any category with no super-category appears on the main page automatically. As it stands Mac Hardware, iPhone and iPod Touch and iPod and Apple TV are mostly done.
Articles that haven't been re-categorised yet are in Old Categories, though Software hasn't really been streamlined at all (just relevant stuff is in there as a subcategory) and the same applies to Networking and Internet.
Forum Posts needs moving to its new home as a "Special Category" but I can't do that. Guides has also been made a sub-category of "Old Categories", though as its a Special Category it doesn't seem to have disappeared (but I may be being impatient).

Trump is a good businessman... which may be good for corporations if he gets elected. IMO though, what we need is a President who looks out for the people, not business.
Either way, I don't see a Republican candidate winning at the moment. Obama, even with "low" ratings, has enough to win re-election.To be honest I don't think we will ever find a president that works for the people again. They love and need their rich donors to get elected.

Lack of education and poverty don't cause terrorism, at least in the case of Islamic terrorists:
http://www.economist.com/node/17730424?story_id=17730424
No, jihad is one of the central tenets of islam; Allah's religion must be made supreme on the planet. Hence why Osama and others are referred to by muslims as mujahideen, holy warriors, as opposed to terrorists.
The qur'an (numerous times) tells muslims to strike terror into the hearts of unbelievers, muhammad said he was made victorious through terror.
So, islamic terrorism will still go on until the entire earth is made islamic. These are facts, alas.
That article contradicts itself in the title...
may not reduce terrorism but could make it less effective

Based on some of the posts in this one forum, it seems that most are coming from loud mouth teens who know nothing, or just want to say something for the hell of it. Geez!
not even teens, preteens, they are all over this place, and the amount they write here is inversely proportional to their knowledge and experience. uggghhh:eek:

According to this its 25 cents per gallon of gas, with an additional 5% sales tax....:confused:I thought it was higher than that.
Connecticut levies a 6% general sales or use tax on consumers, above the national median of 5.85%. In 2007 combined state and local general and selective sales tax collections were $1,424 per person, which ranked 21st highest nationally. Connecticut's gasoline tax stands at 41.9 cents per gallon (4th highest nationally), while its cigarette tax stands at $3.00 per pack of twenty (2nd highest). Additionally, Connecticut levies a 5.8% gross receipts earnings tax on oil companies, which is collected at wholesale. The sales tax was adopted in 1947, the gasoline tax in 1921 and the cigarette tax in 1935.

I'm picking up a g4 mini in the next couple of days that has been completely wiped clean.
I don't have any sort of monitor at home and was looking at hooking it up to my Panasonic plasma to set it up from scratch using a DVI - HDMI cable.
Will I actually be able to see anythiing without having an OS already installed or is it going to be a pointless exercise?

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR  I'll get you!! BTW when are you planning on overtaking me, I have been waiting for three months or so...
End of June/early July. I've been lying low for the time being. Have to try to figure out who to taunt next. Maybe Rower_CPU? I should pass him sometime in 2009 at my current rate, which is due to fall since I have yet to complete a WU today.
Remember, set lofty goals so you always have a good excuse for failure.

Good point. There is a little article in the April Car and Driver that lists all of the cars assembled in North America and their actual domestic parts content. Some of it is pretty shocking. Sorry, I don't think they have it online, but if somebody really wants it, I can scan it.
As an example, the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are both 80% U.S./Canadian parts content. The Chevrolet Silverado pickup? ...61%.
Wow, I came into this thread late. I wonder where the other 39% percent of the Silverado is from? I would guess more than one country. I know about the US Toyota plant, but Honda, too?
Anyway, I kind of like the Honda Fit and if that's helping American workers, then all the more power to them.

Apples and Oranges.
Same two shots just lit differently with off camera flash. Not sure I necessarily like either, just thought I'd post them. Figurative and literal contrast, I guess. Hopefully next weekend will be nice and I can get outside.

i had it once, this summer, and i was *really* scared, when they first put an IV drip in my arm (they had to look forever to find a vein ) but after they put the relaxant/whatever in the drip i was fine :p then they wheeled me into the operating room, put a mask on me and i was out before the anaesthesiologist (sp?) was done talking to me. the worst part was waking up in a lot of pain, so they gave me morphine, which made me nauseous, which was actually worse than the pain because try as i might i couldn't throw up...but good luck! i'm sure everything will go great for you, iGary!

Too bad I can't find a store that has an iPad 2, due to all of the Asians buying them up every morning and exporting them (do they have an export license? I think not). I've been told the local foreign college students can send them back to their parents in China or Vietnam who then sell them for a $1000 profit.

What has Obama really done besides go on vacation for the last few years? How the hell has he raised any bar? Tell me what all he promised to do and then tell me exactly how many of those things he has accomplished so far.
I think he quit smoking:rolleyes:

Even though I doubt you actually want to see anything here (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/) is a list of some things he promised to do and actually did. As far as politicians go Obama has been pretty good at keeping promises, I don't agree with him on everything but some of his problems with doing things come from the republicans stopping him and him having too much of a desire to compromise.
