Make the RAM user upgradable even if it means only having one ram slot. I really feel strongly about this because it seems that the MBA is morphing into a full functional iPad with a keyboard. :(
I can not help wonder if this is going to put more laptops in landfills this way.:eek: There are many people that can't afford ordering the ultimate BTO option and are able to upgrade the components over time.:cool:

i don't think that's iOS5. i think it's an early build of iOS4.
the new folder creation looks awful and incomplete.
Or it could be a special internal build of iOS 4 to evaluate the features if iOS 5, without releasing the OS itself. In the video, there is a messenger bubble that is not filled in, which may imply there is something unique about this build.

This is not really new technology.
For those not wanting to look this up here is a quote from wikipedia
"This effect was first discovered, accidentally, by the German physicist Thomas Johann Seebeck in 1821, who found that a voltage existed between two ends of a metal bar when a temperature gradient ΔT existed in the bar."
These same chips are used by some people as active coolers for CPS and GPS. They are sold as "Thermo-electric cools" (TECs) or "Peltier Devices". I can think of a couple large industrial suppliers of these devices. THey are used in those plug in ice chests and very small desktop fridges too. They are mostly used in the cooling mode but the same device works as a heater or as a power source. They are not expensive. $15 or $20 will get you one that you can play with

i really thinking of selling my ipad.. i mean for 90% of the time my 17" MBP gets the job done.. and for quick e-mail checks or when im out the house, my iphone is invaluable, the ipad is a nice idea but i would not use it in the house, and pointless carrying that and my ip4 around

Though I am well over 30 I had been using Foursquare for the past couple of months only because most of my friends (who are mostly 20 somethings) are using it, but I did get pretty bored with it and always thought to myself "Why am I even bothering." (I know, to unlock the badges for some reason.) Facebook's Places is identical to Foursquare and they will be integrating both apps together soon, apparently.
But I just saw a TedTalk from a guy who has a company called Scvngr (http://www.ted.com/talks/seth_priebatsch_the_game_layer_on_top_of_the_world.html) and they have an app (also called Scvngr: link to app (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/scvngr/id323248984?mt=8)) much like Places but with an added layer in which you have very specific goals to achieve in order to make it more fun. For example, if you walk into an American Apparel and check in, you then have the task of taking a photo of yourself posed like the Mannequin in the store window. When you do this [enough times at various locations] you unlock a reward of a badge. Apparently all of these badges (for both Scvngr and Foursquare) are supposed to, eventually, give you discounts at these various stores... it hasn't happened for me yet.
So, security concerns aside, do you think these things add value for the consumer? Of course it does for the companies gathering the market research data (it's a goldmine for them!) but what do these Location Services apps need to do to make this worth opening the app and "checking in" each time you walk into a place? Scvngr seems to have made their's a little more interesting by adding this game layer to the "check in" process (your life as a game) but is it enough?

So Counsumerreports publishes that they can't recommend the iPhone 4 due to antenna. Then they later realized that they were dumb asses and the iPhone antenna issue is a non-issue. Now they can't just change their mind, that would make them look like an idiot, so they stayed stubborn saying the iPhone 4 had an antenna issue, because they were too stubborn to admit they were wrong.
Now the iPad is out they are trying to prove to the media that they are not being biased against apple.
However, the iPad 2 is the best tablet. That is just a no-brained

This week XtremeMac posted their iPod Touch 4G online. I was ready to pull out my credit card and make a purchase but I decided to swing by Staples one more time to see if they were in stock. The previous weeks Staples had marked down all their 2G XtremeMac cases. So I was hoping it would be in stock. Well I picked one up tonight and was extremely excited to see that the case feels just as good as the previous line.
The fit of the Tuffwrap is nice and snug. I remember the 1st two cases I bought for my 1st Gen iTouch was between $20-30. The second one I thought of not skimping and got an Incase for my iPod then the one after I purchased another Incase from a discount store. Both times they split.

Whoever advised them to not put the maps onboard and download as needed, needs to be fired- poor decision.

You can't boot XP from CD on a Mac. You can't you can't you can't. The Mac boots using EFI, which XP doesn't support.
You need to use Boot Camp to install it, as legacy BIOS emulation has to be loaded specifically for XP.
PLEASE... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE.... don't talk if you don't know what you are saying. I'm not perfect... but I can absolutely, ABSOLUTELY guarantee ... GUARANTEE YOU... that you CAN indeed boot XP from the new Macs WITHOUT BOOTCAMP WHATSOEVER.
That is how I have my iMac (24") setup...
The FIRST thing I did when I took her out of the box was insert the WINXP SP2 CD... (nothing slipstreamed)... and hold down the "c" key...
Voila! Booting into XP Setup... COMPLETELY FORMATTED THE ENTIRE 500GB DRIVE with XP... and she runs great.
I then attached an EXTERNAL FW800 RAID 0 Setup (1TB now)... and boot OS X off that external slice...
So... JUST SO YOU KNOW! Please try not to confuse the rest of the class Billy, uhmKay? ;)

This is dumb, but blowing on the mic makes the menu items spin faster. I never bought a DSi, so I'm not sure they did anything like that?

Bleh... My SD Card corrupted... OK, never mind. I had to power down my 3DS, then eject the SD card and re-insert it and now it works again.

What has Obama really done besides go on vacation for the last few years? How the hell has he raised any bar? Tell me what all he promised to do and then tell me exactly how many of those things he has accomplished so far.

Even though I doubt you actually want to see anything here (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/) is a list of some things he promised to do and actually did. As far as politicians go Obama has been pretty good at keeping promises, I don't agree with him on everything but some of his problems with doing things come from the republicans stopping him and him having too much of a desire to compromise.

The Pentium5 is to the Pentium4 what the Pentium3 was to the Pentium2. It is not a new core. It sports a few new bells and whistles, twice the L2, the potential for a faster FSB, but it is still essentially the same chip as before.
This is not to say that the G4 will be able to keep up, or anything. :)
2 to 3 weeks till the dual 1.25's ship, and I'm still really temped to get one.
