Another example of how inefficient USCIS is. I have applied my EAD in Aug 28th, did the FP in Sept 22, case still pending. I sent to Texas Service center.

If one IV member moves from State A to B, what would be the process of transferring membership to state chapter?
Will it merely be a deleting datbase record from one state and adding it to another state? Or would it be again filling up survey to new state chapter..?

"NO right turn on Red" can be thought of as an image. Whenever we read anything, we do not actually read the spelling of the word, but we look at the image the words form. That is the reason we sometimes have difficult when the letters are not legible as the image does not map to anything in our permanent memory. humans or any animals recognize through visual stimulii, not reading. Think more on this, it is interesting to the solutions that come out of it.

Is anyone in the similar situation of not receiving the receipts even after check has cashed way back.
My checks cashed on 10/2, I was able to get the receipt numbers from back of the check. Lawyer/myself did not receive any physical notice. I opened a SR last week and waiting.... :(

Sounds to me like it might be dust on the sensor. Look at your manual to see if it describes how to clean the sensor.

I have had my D50 for 4 weeks now. I've just been on holiday and discovered that I'm getting a black circular spot near the top left of my pictures. The spot IS NOT visible through the viewfinder, only after I have taken the picture. With the aperture wide open, the spot is less defined, but if I close down to around F22 or similar, it becomes sharper & more pronounced. Also, it's not a lens problem, as I have tried both my lenses at ALL zoom focal lengths and it's still there. I have used a blower on the mirror but not sure what or where the problem is. Any ideas ?

No, you don't have to be employed while in EAD but do remember GC is future job, if have something to show them then you are safe.

Hi,
I am in need of some advice. I am on first h1b extension with 2.5 hears left. I have an MS but was filed under eb3 with priority date of march 2005 (didn't knew about priority categories at that time). Now I am feeling a bit stagnant in my current job, but have always felt myself constrained thinking about restarting the GC process from zero. Given the current eb3 condition and my priority date what would you suggest I should do? Switch job, get a salary raise, restart under eb2 or continue doing whatever I do hoping eb3 will become current in some reasonable time and i'll be free ?

IV does not collect any identifiable information. The information is being requested is all about petitions that you had filed, which no way affects your privacy in my personal opinion. These information will help IV to slice and dice the data and present it to lawmakers when the need arises.
It is up to you to contribute to these efforts with clean data. I would suggest you to get a paid consultation from an immigration attorney until you become comfortable with IV, people and its forum

Prepaid taxis at the airport is the best. You dont have to haggle over prices, pay tips or commission or no such nonsense. Fixed rate based on distance. Govt prepaid and Fast track are good. Would suggest Fast track.. decent cars with decent prices.
Fasttrack is even recommended for local travel... reliable call taxi service.
As for hotels, if you are looking at hotels in and around 5 kms of Chennai Central railway station, you can look at areas of Egmore, Kilpauk and Nugambakkam. Aruna Inn in Nugambakkam is a decent 2-3 star. Try to find hotels in these areas and make a researvation thru makemytrip.com or yatra.com

Not sure what they do in the secondary inspection.. In my case they asked no questions at all.. Just asked me to sit and wait while they entered / checked something in their system. I was in and out within 20 mnts.

1. married before his 485 got approved
2. his wife's application reached NSC before his 485 got approved.
So they are perfectly fine and this situation would happen to anybody who is filing 485 alone and getting married later. They all will wait until their respective PDs become CURRENT and then send their spouse's 485.
Primary applicant may be approved 485 soon and the wife's later. 180 day window is there.
Please correct me if I'm wrong ....... I'm just a junior member of this forum.
