Advocacy Action Item August 2009 - update
The summer August recess is in progress and the lawmakers are still in their constituencies. This is an opportunity for us to meet with them and address our issues and present solutions in preparation for the upcoming CIR. We must push for our agenda to get our provisions in the base bill as CIR is being drafted currently. If we do not get our provisions in the base bill then it is much harder to get them attached to the bill in the form of amendments.
IV therefore requests its members, to continue to call up and start scheduling lawmaker meetings NOW. Please take appointments with your local lawmakers of both houses of Congress. our members have been taking appointments and so far the feedback has been extremely positive. These meetings have enabled us to enlighten the lawmaker offices and engage in constructive dialog that not only addresses our issues and concerns but also provides solutions to the backlogs.
As communicated earlier, we have created multiple documents and support material that will go into your �Advocacy Packet� for you to carry for these lawmaker meetings. We have also created a Lawmaker Appointment Book

Chapter leaders keep the members of their state involved, recruit more members and help organize activities and events. Besides joining and participating in state chapters, we need other active volunteers to join us in different teams which are working in specific area like the media group, the newsletter group, the advocacy group etc. Each of these groups is led by dedicated members who work with members in formulating IV documents and strategies.
We also want to urge our members to generously contribute to our cause. We as a non-profit organization depend on your contributions to work on various media and advocacy activities. They say it takes 10-14 business days but my Wife got it within 7 business days. hope this helps.

I got fingerprinting notices for both me and my wife within couple of days. I received mine today. For both of us it is scheduled on 3rd March.

Hi,
We are in a critical situation. My wife's AP was approved on 10/18 and the current status is "Document Mailed on 11/05". It also says "You should receive the document within 30 days".
Our flight to India is on 11/15 and we are wondering typically how long it takes for us to receive the physical paper after the status changed to "Document Mailed".
Can you please share your experience?

Invite the Heads of DMV so that they can address our driving problems
Invite SSN people local heads.
When we do this, we can pay for their expenses to join us in that meet.

3) I have been searching monster, indeed etc to find a sponsorer for my visa, i attended 2 interviews till now and cleared them too but when it comes to work permit they are not willing to do h1 for me. I have lost all hopes and posting here to find out if there are any companies who are willing to do h1b.
I am not in software field, i am in to bio technology and i am looking for the post of clinical research coordinator or clinical research associate CRA , CRC.
If any of you know any company which does h1b for CRA, CRC it would really be helpful if you could post me the link of the company here.

I guess it is an approval. In the cases where officer needs an approval from senior officer they issue N-652. That is standard practice.
