OK I'm doing the Macs category, Pre G3 Macs have a separate category, as do the PowerMac G4 models as there are so many articles on them.

The iPhone 4 sported twice the RAM of the iPad. Perhaps the iPhone 5 also sports more RAM than the iPad 2.
In fact, maybe that's part of the reason for the push to September. To put more distance between the iPad and the iPhone so that iPad owners don't feel like their product is playing second fiddle to the iPhone (which it is).

Of course they are branded differently, they have different uses.
Historically Xeon is for high-end workstations and servers, people know and expect this.

4 years ago my brother (parents) had to pay $2000 for his "tablet PC" from HP in highschool.
This works out to what, $470 a piece? Give me a break.
The iPad is not a tablet PC. You can still pay $2,000 for a tablet PC if you want. The iPad is a tablet yes, but it doesn't run a full blown deskptop OS (I'm not getting into that argument).
My point is, Apple used to offer excellent discounts to students and teachers across all of it's product ranges. It's a shame they're not offering the same with the iPad.

But back to Office. I still prefer the Windows version however the Mac version is starting to grow on me. Were it not for MS CRM that I use at work, I could finally be rid of Windows once and for all. But, alas, no dice. Love how CRM works ONLY with IE.
I agree the windows version is way better. But it's not worth running Parallels all the time to get it. The Mac version is good enough. (At work I do run Parallels all the time for other reasons, though, and I therefore I almost exclusively use the Windows version of Office.)

Something I am seeing more and more which is downright terrifying/befuddling to me is the notion that not giving someone something is the same as taking something from them. Example: Tax cuts. I hear time and time again that tax cuts "cost" the government money. Excuse me?I don't really understand your confusion here: the government is essentially selling the taxpayer a bundle of services. If they lower the price, it costs them money. Surely that isn't so complicated?

Hopefully this will address the issues some users have seen with the Mac Pro apparently not being able to boot beyond a black screen when using the XP disc to boot from. Although I would think that is more an issue of GFX than firmware on the Mac Pro...maybe they're the same thing!
Also, why two different downloads? Surely they could be incorporated into the same file...

Maybe years ago. But when you move the cursor you tap and move your finger across the trackpad. When you tap to click you tap and lift your finger. Two different gestures. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean there arent people that can.

Yes, but your point was that Apple will fail like other manufactures if they introduce different form factors. That isn't the case with the iPod selection.

I think it does, all other manufactures are spitting out models every month and Apple has two models that they sell every year and they sell more then these other manufactures. Why change that? Can Apple succeeded at selling more models when nobody else can?

No they're not. I've listened to ATC transmissions on Delta and Alaska Air too... Then again, it's been a few years since I've flown anyone other than United, Southwest and Frontier and of those three, United is the only doing it.

YOU WILL GET DIFFERENT IMAGES IF YOU USE A 200mm EF Lens on a 7D (APS-C) and a 200mm EF-S lens on that same camera due to the FOVCF
Go and try it and come back...

Canon EF-S lenses are designed specifically for the 1.6x FOVCF DSLR bodies but still require the same 1.6x crop factor to be applied as the standard Canon EF Lenses to get the equivalent field of view comparison. Again, this is because the physical focal length of the lens is the same, regardless of which camera it’s mounted on.
Which, once again, agrees with me.

are you jailbroken? do you have biteSMS installed? if so, thats probably why. if you go to SBSsettings > mobile substrate addons > and then turn off biteSMSsb, it will work normally. but im sure as hell not giving up my biteSMS for a facebook update that has a non functional locations feature (which even when it works i will not use) and background photo uploading. if you dont have the 5 seconds to wait for a picture to upload, maybe you shouldnt be wasting your time on facebook anyway.
