Under the update July 2007 VB, visa number was unable for the entire July 2007. It remained such until July 17, 2007 when both DOS and USCIS reversed their positions. There could be some 104(c) H-1B three-year extension petitions filed in July bore the 17th. Since the July 2007 VB has been reversed and remains "current" in July, it will remain a challenging issue for these filers. Those who file after July 17, 2007 and before August 1, 2007 may not be entitled to the benefit of 104(c) extension. Accordingly, those who need three-year extension under 104(c) should not file the H-1B extension until after August 1, 2007 to obtain three year extension, even though they will have to pay the increased filing of $320 rather than the current $190. In August, the EB visa number will remain "unavailable" for the entire EB classifications, presenting the best opportunity to file such 104(c) three-year increment H-1B extension petition. What a twist and irony of the development of events?

To my knowledge, You are ok, nothing to worry.
Present both I-797 present one and the extension durng Visa interview you will get stampled as long as the extension is valid.

1) If i file a non-profit h1b visa , i was suggested that i can work immediately, is that true?
As far as I understood cap-exempt visa are not for all non profits. It is for non profit research organizations only. That is the reason most universities/charity research organizations qualify for it.
3) I have been searching monster, indeed etc to find a sponsorer for my visa, i attended 2 interviews till now and cleared them too but when it comes to work permit they are not willing to do h1 for me. I have lost all hopes and posting here to find out if there are any companies who are willing to do h1b.
Try not to going through any consulting stuff just to file in April. Consulting companies are going through rough phase and USCIS is getting very strict with them (this is just my preception from what I am hearing around).
I am little into CRA position right now working for university. send me pm if you need info.

Morchu's suggestion is a very good one. You file for a premium H1 with all the documentation and new approved I140. Can you share why your previous 485 was rejected?

Company A:
I was on my 7th year of H-1B visa (6th year expired on Apr30th 2008).
Labor approved Dec, 2006.
I-140 applied in June 2007. (Got RFE regarding my Educational Transcripts
which we responded in time and USCIS received on Dec 5, 2007)
I-485 applied in Sep 2007
Got EID and Advance parole approved.
I-140 Denied on Apr 3 2008.
I-485 Denied on June 26th, 2008(Denied because I-140 was denied).
Applied for MTR (I-120 B)for I-140. But denied again on Feb, 2009.
Applied one more MTR (appeal)for I-140 on March 13th, 2009 (check cashed by USCIS.. receipt copy not yet received).
Company B:
This Company applied for my Labor (Perm) on Apr 21, 2008.
Got Approved on June 24, 2008.
H1 approved for this Company in July 2008 (Valid upto July 13th 2009).
Joined this company in Aug 2008

Yes it is positive --At-least senators are sticking to their timetable of CIR by March and April.
I guess that is the reason IV is asking for stories by Wednesday noon, This hearing is also on the same day.

Hey guys, I received this notice in the mail from USCIS asking me to appear for "Initial" interview for further processing of my I485. Can someone please throw some light on what that might involve?
My PD is 09/04, June 07 Filer and had an RFE back in Septmeber.

How will judge determine that we actually received the post.It can be lost on the way or something else can happen.Or do we have to sign the notice when the postman gets it.

Inspite of telling my lawyer she did the mistake of sending my EAD and AP before 120 day period. EAD filed 121 days prior and AP filed 148 days prior. I have gotten the receipts of both but AP status says that they have requested more information/evidence. I am wondering what additional information they need. Anyone else in this situation ?

Visitor visa/Business visa for Germany .I have plan business trip to Germany but to get visa, German consulate web site saying they will need visa stamp in passport. My visa stamp in passport is expired and I had use AP for my last entry.
Does any have done European visa with above condition .Please share your thoughts?

All you need is proof that you shall get entry back in USA.
I got my German visa through www.visanetwork.com
They take some fee but would get Visa for you. They make sure all your papers are OK and would tell you what to do.

Your post deserves to be deleted. You seem to lose sight of the real issue and instead resort to preaching from the relative anonymity of your digital pulpit. There are families that are worse off for having ITIN and unable to get an economic stimulus check that is intended to help kick start the economy NOW. Preaching that they can submit an ammended return sometime in the future is a moot point. Catch the irony? Economic stimulus is to help the economy now. Now. Now. Let's try that 3 more times.

Does anybody on the forum know how many days does it take for the processing center to acknowledge?

I went by my EAD expiration date and filed both EAD and AP renewals but only after filing , I saw my AP expiry date is mor ethan 120 days away .I am really worried abt this .I received my receipt notices but no birometrics yet.
