Someone claim the got 43 mins frame time on the biadv with a core i860 and Linux, same CPU as the higher end iMac. That is the same as my 3Ghz 8 core Mac Pro. You think it is possible?

Enjoy the version of Android that comes on that thing out of the box. With all the HTC bloatware and Android fragmentation you'll be lucky to ever see a software update. :rolleyes:
HTC phones get updates & always have done. What is this HTC bloatware you are talking about? If you mean HTC Sense I'll laugh at you a lot. It's a brilliant add-on to Android. In fact, I couldn't imagine Android without it.

Not sure if anybody's noticed yet, but they've changed the design a bit too. Specifically, the optical drive. Notice how now instead of just being a slot in the front, it seems to have a bit of darker grey plastic around it.

At this point, waiting another 3 - 5 months for an iPhone 5 would be more prudent than being locked into something so soon before a new device comes out.BL.
What makes you think the iphone 5 will be released in 3-5 months. rumors suggest it could be realeased in Q1 which could mean late OCT or early Nov time frame

Don't forget, ALL consoles lose money when they first ship.

I tend to agree with you, but that is just business, and Microsoft is good at it. If we want to point fingers, point them at the consumers. The only reason Microsoft still pours money into things is because people will still buy their products. Microsoft also uses their position of having a large amount of disposable cash. If their product sucks, people won't buy it, and Microsoft suffers.
If that were true, Microsoft would never have been able to survive after Windows 95.
If a product sucks but almost everyone else is using it, most people will use it too.

If true, it could be absolutely huge. Truly landmark. Imagine if Apple could somehow do the the TV industry what they did to nearly every other industry (segment) they're in?
The possibilities are pretty astounding. This is the Apple of folks. They have the money, drive, talent and momentum to get into any market and shake things up with a very good chance of success, and make the established players look totally flat-footed in the process.
We should let the NUMBERS (or $$$) speak for themselves.

Have to agree entirely with this one. Google is getting to be more and more of a mess so I'm ditching it entirely.
1) Gmail goes down for me about 1-2 times/week. Just have to wait (and wait).
2) Google contacts are useless - they don't import vcard!!!
3) Google calendar is a joke if you have to work with other clients
4) Google customer service is Non Existent. I have a google voice number which I established a couple of months ago for a non-profit outfit and the username/password is lost. I have the Number and it is still forwarding to the original number set BUT I can't turn it off, I can't get the user name - Why you ask with baited breath, because the only solution from Google is to allow you to send an email to your username given that you know the phone number BUT I don't have the username - catch22 anyone. So now I would normally wait on the phone for two hours to talk to a person who could fix that - the 2 hours being a reasonably punishment for my folly BUT.. once again with baited breath.. there is NO customer service number, NO customer service chat, NO customer service email. I guess if I want to get a person at google I have to drive up to the bay area.
The problem is that I"m NOT google customer, the ad providers are and Google is set up that way. They will continue to go downhill as they continue this ad-supported business model (and free is NOT free).
Your doing it wrong... Google services are much better than mobile me! Caveat? Get Android.

I really like the teardrop design of this iPhone. Not too sure what to think about the gesture based home button. Could be a hit or a flop...can hardly wait to see a demo if this is the real deal. But like with all rumours, chances are it's not real.

I qualify for a full upgrade on 6/25/2011, I bought the iPhone 4 on launch day, 6/24/2011. So there's some other reason why this guy isn't qualifying for the upgrade. AT&T treats upgrades differently based on monthly plan, how long you've been a customer, and if you've paid your bills on time.
AT&T likes me, so I always get a full upgrade early. They really like my sister. She also upgrades yearly and loses or destroys an iPhone mid-year, and still gets upgrades both times.
That being said, I've seen nothing but speculation and baseless rumors about a Fall launch for the new iPhone.

The iPad has already blown away the "Apple makes overpriced stuff myth" out of the water. If you are still clinging on to this, let it go and find another useful argument.
Most of the products in Apple's line up are competitively priced or more affordable than its competitors...and don't compare iMac's to desktop boxes it's an all-in-one a different form factor.
Apple makes insane profits because their products sell...in extraordinary numbers not because they are overpriced. Fact is if Apple only makes income because of the premium, people will not continue to buy them if they don't work well.
If you want to dispute what I said, try making your own product, design a pretty logo for it and sell it at a premium. See how that works out for you.

Give it up already. This is not true. The only image you could trust is the one looking straight on for both phones and they look the same in that one. All the rest use perception to make one look thicker.

while the technology would be very cool IMO... i could see it causing a lot of problems... it's a lot easier to accidentally move over a surface than to accidentally press keys/etc...
seems like it'd be more of a hassle in the end for a portable music player...
for a based application, say... touchless displays, etc, that aren't mobile... that might be more advantageous

Well said, but even if this iVisual was to come out, Apple is not going to bring out just a TV its going to be much more and I can't imagine what that could be. Most people even today just don't have the internet needed to really push something Apple would want to get into when it comes to the TV that is why the Apple TV is still a hobby for Apple.
That said maybe they are looking to see what Google does with their Gigabyte fiber deployment. If we started to see real speeds something like a 4k apple tv could become a reality. Give me that and retianal display and drop all the 3d gimmick, I just don't really care for it.
