I googled this response, but most seem to think that it's due to running Windows 95, or an older Netscape browser, and the PC I just used has XP, Quicktime 6 and as basically all up to date, I think.
Lau, you need QuickTime 7 to view H.264 content.
Depending on the type of content, change your codec to something like Sorenson Video 3 you'll take a size hit, but it should work fine.

Well, I wouldn't say it is brutal to the point of being unplayable. The point of the game is to collect these things called "Spectra" in each level. You do this by getting your character to climb higher and explore more of the levels. But you have a limited time to do this. That is where the difficulty comes in. The mechanic of the game is very easy to grasp and pretty easy to master. It is the time limit that gives me the most problems.
It is a very fun game though. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression. The game, as with all of the PixelJunk games, is very fun and has a very unique graphical look and great soundtrack. Easily worth a purchase from the PSN.
Just played around with the demo. It seems fun, I might actually get it. I'm going to sleep on it first though. I tend to make decisions I regret when it's late at night. :p

It's a good guess. I was a happy NNW user, but despite having paid for the software, I still switched to Google Reader about a year ago. I tried out the new version of NNW, but there are really no features compelling enough to get me to switch back. Now if they come out with native iPhone version I might change my mind (I'm still not thrilled with Reader's Phone interface).
Exactly my thoughts... they can win me back if they develop a native iPhone client that works the way I'd like it to. Until then, I'll stick with Google Reader (which I switched to from NNW shortly after the iPhone's release).

In OS X you can literally control just about any aspect of the the operating system via terminal. I would argue that an expert *nix user has more "unrestricted control" over OS X than an expert windows user can have under XP.
I think an important thing to consider is how easy to use this control over the system is, a unix terminal is not very easy to use. Windows will offer GUI tools for such tasks like regedit. Though the thing is there is really very little a typical power user will need to change in OSX that can't be done from the GUI. The only thing I've needed to change from the terminal is the smb.conf file to put in the correct workgroup.

Saurik actually fixed a version, but it's sort of a beta so its not published; it's only available as a .deb file:

If you have iFile or OpenSSH installed, you can use them to install it. Let me know if you need instructions.
Otherwise there are others in various non-standard Cydia repositories, which you would have to add to Cydia:

http://www.podzombie.com/repository/

i would assume so, though it only needs to be a crappy video card. the problem is that the BIOS or EFI or whatever firmware is running on the motherboard would usually freak out if it couldnt find a video device. i know ive turned on many machines in my building days and usually if they dont have one of the essentials (ram, proc, an input device, a video out device) they just beep and hang.

I have been trying to download iTunes for mac, for a reinstall, since late yesterday. None of the links I have found work. Either they don't exist, or they are being redirected by Apple's site to the apple.com/startpage. Any way to let Apple know their links are not working and that iTunes is unavailable for download?

This may sound totally obvious, but spend time on YouTube. There are a lot of folks people your age doing cool stuff and putting it on YouTube (Lucas Cruikshank aka "Fred" being one obvious, and rather obnoxious, example). Not all of it is good, and some of it is frankly terrible, but you quickly get a sense of what's cool and what's not (for example, YouTube seems to have popularized the disjointed jump cut.) You can take inspiration from the stuff that's done well, and learn from the bad stuff too by taking note of what they did wrong and how you would have done it differently.

Hey I'm looking into buying a preferably new Macbook or Macbook Pro. I need one soon as I'm moving out for my freshman year of college. The two things I'm mainly concerned about is 500+GB, and 4GB Processor. I was wondering what might be some good places to begin looking for the right laptop.

i was trying to set up a bluetooth mouse and one of the devices on the bluetooth list i didn't recognize. i clicked it and i think it sent a number out to the bluetooth device to type in so it could link to my mac.
after that i realized it was my neighbor's mac.
does this mean all they have to do is type the number and they can get into my computer? all my photos went missing yesterday and i found the the iphoto file mysteriously moved to another folder with some other photos which i couldn't possibly have done myself since i haven't accessed that file recently.
also just now i noticed that the "bluetooth file exchange" app is suddenly open.
what should i do?

One of the rumors is that they will be adding Redcode support to Final Cut for those fancy 4K hd Red Cameras. Personally I'm hoping for a Macbook Pro update similar to the way they announced the Mac Pro updates during CES.

I used the V400 for a while. We didnt get a long to well. It was fine, the battery life was fine for me. Nothing un reasonable. 3-4 days is what I got. I seemed rather slow n sluggish at times. It also scratches very easier. Then my backlight died on it. ( Just one day went out.) I went into Cingular and they gave me a new one on the spot.
I was done with the phone though, and bought a V600 at the same time. (sold the new V400 on ebay) It much more durable IMO opinion.
I've since bought a V3.
All in all its a good phone. Nothing special IMO. but solid.

Good for them. Amazon is going to have to play by the same rules as everyone else.
The bigger issue though is whether tax breaks do any good. There's some evidence that companies search out the best deals and then jump ship when they find better ones.
VW and the state of Saxony in Germany are a good example of a long-term and mutually beneficial public/private relationship.
Why give a break if the company only has low wage, low benefit jobs? Wouldn't it be better to help provide financing and long term staying power if the company makes use of the graduates from your schools?
The short term mentality of so many American capitalists makes for a lot of wealthy gamblers but does nothing for the long term stability of American society.

Yes, that does look very cool. :) Would you please post a pic of how you wrapped the PS printout for the top layer around the rounded corners of the top casing? I didn't understand that. :(
All I really did was put the paper on the back (inside) of the case, and then kind of creased it on the edges where the case curved. That held it in place long enough for me to place the cover back on the computer itself. I didn't glue it or anything, just a simple crease with my finger along the edge. Sorry I don't have any pics, I really can't take this apart again, the screws are really worn and stripped.
