yes. very unhappy with it. I've spent a bit of time trying to customize it... get my toolbars all lined up, the preferences customized... and it's still crap. It seems like Apple is trying to simplify everything a wee bit too much here... I like being able to quickly set my fonts, tabs, margins, and just go. While they've clearly fixed some long-running mistakes from Appleworks, they're now centered around styles and templates... which, while well intentioned, are too cumbersome for my needs. Word suffers from the same problems but at least lets you quickly go if you're freeforming (changing attributes on-the-fly). I must admit Word is currently my processor of choice, tho I'm really hoping Pages gets better with revisions.

    Or just, uh.... not smart?

Trying to kill planned parenthood = less birth control available = more abortions.

That's just common sense. I know they're all about abstinence being the best option but come on!

It's not the only option. Jees.

How dumb can a party/movement be? Are they just refusing to think more than the one superficially thin layer of preventing Planned Parenthood providing abortions? Is that what they think PP just does?

    I'm so confused.

Yup. Leaking Aluminium Electrolytic Capacitors (http://www.repeater-builder.com/motorola/spectra/spectra-caps/c635+c636.jpg) on the motherboard (sample picture only).

Replace them with Tantalum Electrolytics or disconnect the speaker. If you don't replace the capacitors, eventually they will corrode tracks on the motherboard (if they haven't started already).

A slight warning about the caps replacement - Id recommend doing it carefully, you really dont want to ruin the board if you slip. Also check PDS slots still work post-op if/when you replace them :)

Hopefully, it'll be 4 years, then the Canadian public will re-elect someone who can perhaps try to restore Canada to where it was..

For the specific Mac models (like the oogles of PowerMac revisions), would it be wise to just link directly to AppleSpec instead of making our own? We already have [[PowerMac]] with links to [[PowerMac_G4]] which then links to [[PowerMac_specificModel]]. Maybe the links on the PowerMac_G4 page should be to the AppleSpec PDFs for those models?

What if apple takes that information down?

I would think it would be good to make our own local DB of information so we don't need to rely on others for information.

I wonder if this increase is an accurate reflection of the market. PC sales always tend to drop off hugely in the run up to a new windows release.

When has Apple ever made anything more than "just a small improvement"?

iOS evolution from 1 to 4 is somewhat disappointing. It has become somewhat stale, especially for the iPad. Hopefully iOS 5 is a big leap forward.

In your case, it's just inaccurate. Shouldn't it be "Lick my nano"? :D

I'd try to argue back but I've seen your photo in the pictures threads and I just don't have the balls. :(

Apparently HIS statement only means some humans.....

The developing human fetus's rights, as ruled by the United States Supreme Court, do not supersede the rights of the woman carrying that fetus. While the rights do conflict, the law favors the rights of the mother over that of the fetus.

That is all pretty straight forward, no?

We're losing as long as we are spending ourselves into oblivion to fight this threat.

I agree, but that's self inflicted and doesn't have to happen.

From that picture I can correctly diagnosis that Larry Ellison would probably be a jerk
Not as big of a jerk as Jobs... not even close.

    Clever ;)

Although I'm personally not a fan of using URL shorteners on forums where there's no character limit, I like seeing what website I'm about to go to, especially since I browse MR while at work. I don't want to click on a bit.ly link that takes me to supersexynakedbabeswithbigtits.com ;)

    Oh, I agree.

In fact, my original "correction" was to use (url=Name of Link)http://whatever(/url), but apparently that code doesn't work on MR, and the filters still attacked the url. Odd. (Parenthesis for brackets, of course)

    Let's see...

Most successful desktop operating system: Microsoft Windows.
Most successful server operating system: Microsoft Windows Server.
Most successful office suite: Microsoft Office.

Three good reasons (and there would be more like Exchange Server, Sharepoint Portal, SQL Server, Visual Studio) to also have confidence in the man if he were hired as a product manager.

Like it or not, Microsoft still is the most IMPORTANT software company around, and they don't hire incompetent idiots either.

Winni.... you are right... they do not hire idiots. Well... maybe some... one in particular comes to mind. :)

Microsoft may have the most successful OS and other things, but they are living on their past and lack vision from the top. MS is quickly making themselves less relevant in the market place. Without better vision, they may become the Kodak of software.

I am actually afraid of this for Apple!

This is just going to give bad press, and get people to start to compare Apple to the RIAA with regards to lawsuits.

I understand Apple wanting to protect it's name, however they promoted podcasting , and do within many of their products, so trademarking it is just going to crush the little guys that recently started to support and like Apple.

I think this is a bad move, and worries me!
