License for $4?
Apple should license it for *free*.
They pretty much will. They do it w/ Airplay audio. $4 is only to cover extra cost of overhead needed to provide it to OEM's. No profit being made.

There's a huge difference between SUPPORTING the a-5 (or retina display) and REQUIRING.
Look, I'm not against the A-5. Whatever. Knock yourselves out with it. I'm just saying that when push comes to shove, you're going to wish you had LTE compatability more than an A-5 processor.
All the processing speed in the world can't save you if your phone can't access content fast enough -- and with the move to cloud-based storage on the horizon, anyone carrying a 3G phone is going to have a miserable experience.
Any issues I've ever had with streaming have been related to my signal or being in a dense area for tower usage. Adding 4G/LTE capability solves neither of these problems. 3G is sufficient for streaming music files and videos. If you're wanting to stream >= 720p content over the air, you're a bit crazy anyway given that you're going to have data caps staring you in the face on any LTE plan.

Apple's total market share numbers represents percent of new sales for the time period defined. Based on the numbers, Apple has seen significant gains in marketshare in 2006 as compared to 2005. Apple's marketshare hovered between 3.3%-3.8% for much of but since November of has seen a rise into 4.1-4.7% marketshare, with October ending with a 5.21% marketshare.
Of course, Apple's last year has been marked by a switch to the Intel processors, so an increase in sales could represent a large portion of Mac owners upgrading to the newest Mac models. As a result, future sales numbers will be important to see if this trend continues.

I just uploaded version 0.4b. (see first post)
You can now see more data (if you wish) on your and team efforts.
I don't like how it looks now - the big version, that will be addressed later. When I redesign it, i will also leave out the 'title' (FoldingTracker), it's not really needed and leaving it out would make it smaller.
Thx for all the feedback so far chaps.

Target's letter from President Gregg Steinhafel noted that movie studio downloads were less expensive than DVDs, according to the newspaper. The letter also said that if the pricing did not become more equitable, Target would reconsider its investment in the DVD business, the paper said.
Wal-Mart was recently cited (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/09/20060922134714.shtml) as warning Movie Studios that there could be consequences if more movie studies joined in digital movie distribution alongside Disney.
Disney's Present of Home Entertainment has reportedly met with Target executives to stress that digital distribution remains a small market.

No OSX, no sale? That is an idiotic statement. Tell that to 90% of the computer market. Tell me more about the post pc era.
Well, the point stands that some people are simply not open to the "other side" so these comparisons don't really matter to them.
If you insist on OS X then you're buying a Mac. You don't care about the "value" comparison because you have no choice but to buy a Mac. End of story.
If you insist on Windows then you're buying a PC. End of story.
(OK, not really -- it's possible to Hackintosh and install Windows on a Mac, but that's a very small minority of people.)
So these value comparisons are only useful to the subset of people saying "Well, I want a Mac... but I suppose a PC would do, too." Or vice versa. Arguably that's probably "many people" and possibly even "most people".
I've owned a Mac since 2003. Love them. Now I want something small and light. I am eyeing the 13" MacBook Air, and I want to take a serious look at the competition (e.g. Samsung Series 9). I've already owned, and sold, an Asus netbook. It had its uses, but in the end it didn't cut it.

Honestly, I never understood what was so frightening about talking to girls and trying to get a date, especially when it's someone you are just meeting and may never or rarely ever see again.
It can only go one of three ways: she could say yes and go on the date, say no but just be friends, or say hell no altogether.
No offense, but don't be such a chicken ****, just ask her!
Need a not-so-cheesy line that usually works for me? Say "I'm not usually this straightfoward, but you seem like a really interesting person and I was kind of hoping to get to know you better. Would you maybe like to go to [insert local place of interest here] with me on [available day of week] night?"
All your questions will be answered when she responds, then you can sulk or strut all the way home (depending on her response, of course). :)

I'm just trying to save some money.
It's clear that California, Texas, and Washington all have bad deficits. Two of them have 0% income tax while one has 10.6%. What conclusion do you want me to draw from this?
California's tax problems are easy to figure out. The electorate can vote for services separately from the taxes needed to fund them..... that's smart.

For the love of God, will they please fix the bug that causes any wall, photo, or comment posts to slow to a crawl if you haven't reinstalled the Facebook app in some time.
Any one else notice this?
Example: I restore my iPhone. Facebook runs like a sprint horse fresh out of the gate. Posting status updates, wall comments, photo comments, friend requests, etc.. are all snappy. Then after about a week things start taking longer to post. The spinner lasts much longer on the screen. Then by week 4, trying to post a simple status update cripples the app to the point that you have to hit the Home button on the iPhone. Meanwhile, even though your spinner is processing, that status update has already updated on their servers for others to see.

I used to clean my Black MacBook with Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. It would have scratches that seemed would not come out with light soap and a rag but immediately lifted out with the magic eraser. That was a plastic case however, I'm not sure how it works on the aluminum unibody style.
