Just a point to remember in this thread. While fuel prices are much more expensive in Europe, their wages are more significant than ours in the US as well. Minimum wage in the US is currently at 7.25/hour, or roughly 1160/month based on 4 weeks of 40 hours per. This alone can explain some of the gas prices being so high outside of the US.
The minimum wage in the UK is a little over 9.50/hour USD making a monthly, min. wage of approx. 1615.00/month. In the Netherlands it is 11.54/hour USD at 1846/month. 11.92/hour USD (1907/month) in Germany, and 15.50/hour USD (2480/month) in Australia. And in France it is 12.58/hour USD or 2012/month.
You can also factor in holiday time (vacation time to us yanks) and way more paid holidays (as in actual Holidays to us yanks) with the salary as benefits.
Oh, I filled up at 3.42/gallon today.

My job is standing in line
Mall security is getting anal about sitting in front of stores. They came by and measured out from the store opening and if you are in the way they make you move.
On a good note the Nestle toll house cookie store is starting to open.
DP
That cookie stand is going to be taunting you ALL day....at least there is not a Cinnabon store right there, I would have a heart attack before 5pm.

I thought the difference between little/big endian was that the byte order was flipped, not the bit order. So 01 in BE/LE would always be 1, 10 - 2, etc. Or am I wrong?
You are correct!!! 10 will always be 2. 01 will always be 1. Endianness swaps the bytes, not the bits. Binary addition would be hell if the bits were swapped... Plus then writing bit-operators and using bit-masks in C would just be a pain in the arse when it came time to compile that game for 5 different platforms.

Why such a negative response? The software out there sucks... more competition means more quality. Sound design needs some major upgrades. It needs to more innovate.

There's a reason why it'd be easier to make an AWS iPhone than a CDMA iPhone; CDMA is pretty much monopolized by Qualcomm, so if Apple wanted a CDMA iphone it'd probably cost quite a bit to make.
Of course, Apple could simply buy out Qaulcomm. I kinda look forward to the day Steve walks out on stage and starts bragging about Verizon's awesome coverage areas lol.
AWS isn't AFAIK monopolized by anyone and should be as easy to do as current GSM is. (I may be wrong)

The line was pretty mad, but it seemed to move rather quickly once the doors were opened at 6pm. My hat is off to those who in the queue who had a word with the queue cutters as well as the Apple staff. (Dear queue cutters get with the program, or go back to your friends at Microsoft.)
I was amazed at the number of people in the queue that didn't buy Leopard. LOL... was the lame free t-shirt really worth your time in the queue?
I was a bit embarrassed by all the hot women who asked us what we were queuing up for. Oops, was I really standing in a queue for 2 hours on a Friday night. Hell ya! I saw the ladies later with a big box in my pocket.
Apple you get poor marks for selling Leopard right by entrance door and free t-shirts. It was rather disorganized. (Lets hope you learn for next month's iPhone event.) Upstairs seemed like it could use a few more rows of seats.
I got the new OS. A belly full of sushi. A bloodstream full of alcohol. And, a much lighter wallet. Fun times. I love London!

All Apple software and hardware can be demoed for free at any Apple store. I have brought in cameras, printers, monitors, etc... and was allowed to test them and demo them before I purchased. It's an amazing place go visit sometime.

I didn't realize assisting in procuring abortion for child prostitutes counted as reporting to the FBI
Obviously you've been reading the wrong sources, in all the cases Planned Parenthood gave advice, but then reported the case to the FBI.
People are a nation's greatest asset.
Unwanted people are far from an asset.

Notice Steve is the only guy without wine?
He does have wine. Look at his right hand. It's just kinda blended in with the background.

Ha, it happens to all of us. Don't worry, a day will come where you'll answer this question for someone else and they'll be happy you knew where to look.

LOL @ Chuck Norris kicking an oncoming car in the face. Classic.
Like I mentioned in the first post on this possibility earlier today, I hope they implement this in a way that I can find things. Like tagging my keys or books. I'm always losing crap.

Unless the microgenetics machines are small, well, there are several stages in DNA transcription and reverse transcriptase, which would make several conditions unsuitable. Heat destroys it. It can be awfully slow. There are at least 6 stages using different equipment.
They are not testing his DNA for a court of law ... just verifying that he is the one who deserves to be the dead guy

I believe the Consumerist will be more than willing to hype incorrect information it has received from an uninformed rep if it means increased site traffic, especially if it furthers the aim of hyping up a theme that's en vogue right now. It's a blog with a business interests and it receives revenue based on traffic, and that means it, like any other blog with business interests, has an agenda to pursue.
So like every other "news" source on the internet, I take what I read with a grain of salt.
Surely you must have proof of them using sensationalism (such as TechCrunch) rather than siding with the telcos who consistently lie and overcharge for services like SMS? As far as I know The Consumerist has been around for years blogging about consumers rights and unlike AT&T who Astroturfs against net neutrality.

If I recall, you said the timing of the burial was very fast.
I should ask, how long does DNA testing take? I was told in February that it takes between 2-5 days.
I wonder if that might be "banker's hours"? Send a courier to the lab, lab tech does the test and goes home for the night, reading the results in the morning. Who knows what kind of advanced equipment and tech the military has access to. Fly right to the Kabul lab, start the test, fly to the carrier, proceed under the impression that this is him, with the hosing-down, funeral and dumping. A few hours later, confirmation.
Though I could be wrong. :)

My guess (hope) is that provincial governments will move left over the next 4 years as the public seeks a counterbalance.
