WRONG! FCP is definitely not the industry standard. It gained a lot of traction in market share from Avid but has since regressed its gains over the last several years.A lot of people seem to be ditching FCP because of the bugs and moving back to Premier. I think the ability to work seamlessly between Adobe products is a big advantage as well.

Woah, you are on fire today. You've churned out two awesome 'tars.

Being a little nit-picky, I reckon this'd be even cooler if you slowed it down a little. :)

That would work--when I get a MBP (D2C). My current 'book has S video and 1/8" audio out, which was fine three years ago. I currently run component from my HD sat receiver to the plasma, optical to my HT system and HDMI from the HT to the plasma. I like Multimedia's idea of using an EyeTV DVR and a Mac Mini I have sitting in the play room. I've got DVR on my standard sets upstairs and it's quite addicting.

Multimedia--thanks for reminding me about the ElGato systems. My wife and I were just talking about upgrading the HD receiver to a DVR but for the same price I can own the EyeTV DVR and use my Mac Mini with it.Well I guess you should check your luck with a Terk TV5 off air antennae direct connect to your Digital TV tuner to confirm you can receive decent HDTV Broadcast signals before buying the EyeTV 500.

A WHAT? .exe "scripts" are Windows executable programs, not available for use on the Macintosh operating system (and also have nothing to do with web design and development)

Maybe you can be more clear in what you are looking for also  What do you mean "chance to [your] own wishes"?

Not only has Apple’s mobile platform share been artificially cut down by separating out the iPhone alone, the other mobile device makers have had their share artificially increased, by lumping them all together! But since those devices vary in size, version and capabilities so much, they do NOT add up to a single platform in the way iOS does. Not for developers, not for device makers, and not for users.

I'm on iTunes 10.1.2 now. I have an iPad1 on 4.2.1 fw and jailbroken.

Tomorrow! I'm getting an iPad 2 on 4.3 fw which I assume requires iTunes 10.2.1.
Will iTunes 10.2.1 mess up my jailbroken iPad1?

Guess the world will just have to look down on us then. The US actually has a pair of balls, and we do what we need to do,

Torturing people isn't big and clever, and it doesn't show balls. It's pathetic and cowardly.

unlike Europe who's militaries are a joke ... but don't forget who's going to be there protecting your asses when you get into a war with an arab country

Really?! The UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain combined (I'm guessing Europe's most capable armed forces) total around the same number of active personnel as the US. Name one arab country capable of invading Europe or the US. Maybe you just like to pretend the US is the guardian of Europe, but there is no country both willing and able to invade.

Shooting bin laden while he was unarmed?? Seriously?? Who gives a crap? That's like being against shooting hitler while he was unarmed.

I'd be against shooting Hitler because he was unarmed.

I have heard that much of the hemorrhage could be addressed with a simple 0.5% tax on market trades, while also affording a little stability to the markets. After that, a nice little national property tax might well make up the difference if structured properly

My first computer had a tape drive. A Commodore Vic 20. I wonder how long a cassette tape needs to be to hold a TB not to mention a PB?

Depends if you use "Turbo Loader" or anything similar or not ... How long would it take to rewind a tape like that?

So since there is no answer to my earlier question, I take it that the posters who take issue with the tracking have not bothered to correct the issue on their phone and desktop, which would seem like they care more about posting complaints than being tracked.

I shouldn't be saying this...but comparing this and the Stanford Shopping Center thread, it would appear that the latter is the place to go for a last minute pickup tomorrow (though I'm sure they're getting fewer).

My average is rapidly approaching 6 per day. I've posted 50 times in one day twice so far - that's the most I've ever made in one day.

I agree with you regarding edesignuk - those pictures always make me chuckle.

6 posts per day adds up to a lot if you keep it up for five years straight

i am at just under 4 1/2 posts per day and in my 5th year here, i am approaching 7500 total posts...i hope that makes me a "602" :)

Being a mod doesn't mean I can't still have a sense of humor, which is all I saw that as. No one's going to have a "battle of the 'tars", I'm just messin', which I'm still allowed to do from time to time you know...And all the hazing we can do to you cannot compare to the mountain of spam you're about to be burried under.

Good luck, you'll need it. :p

it is more company like Samgsung have huge patent porfolios that they never really use unless they get sued and that is when they go looking threw it and saw Hmm "Apple is suing me what can I nail them on" Apple is currently starting to piss people off so they are going to start going threw their patents and hitting back.

Don't know why you were modded down you're absolutely correct. This is the way the system works.

I do believe, I and a whole bunch of friends and other ppl have used that F word at ppl that are clearly not gay. It's just colloquial and doesn't have anything to do with homosexuality. Maybe in a "small" way (i.e. "Don't be a F"), in some cases it's supposed to imply that you are "scared like a girl (or a guy who thinks he is a girl...who presumably will be scared like one)" in some sense. But that's just it.

Right. And when my white friends and I call each other the "N" word, it's just a figure of speech we use to describe each other's bitchin' sun tan. We don't mean anything by it. It's not racist or anything...
