The only meaningful way to save the red countries from depopulation is to eliminate access to birth control and abortions. Places have tried to boost birth rates, it hasn't succeeded.
We don't have enough resources, especially in developed countries that consume most of the world's resources for what you're advocating. If anything we need significantly lower populations in Europe and North America.

Missed their chance when Apple didn't approve the improved Google maps app the first time it was available. Now it has improved even more while Maps.app has done nothing, and I'm sure Google has withdrawn the app now that they are doing their own phone OS.

Which Apple product uses a trace of stylus???
So doesn't the Nintendo DS infringe in this stylus patent as well??

I wonder how many of these posts are trolls? I haven't had any issues whatsoever with 4.3.1. I also didn't have any problems with 4.3; battery life has been absolutely stellar and call performance actually improved in 4.3.1.

The ipods do not have enough individuality/functionality to do this, without changing the entire underlying scheme. (Generally they fix this in Itunes).
What they do is prevent unwitting individuals to participate easily in large scale piracy, but allow local piracy.
This tends to INCREASE sales, not DECREASE sales. Local piracy creates obligation and requires work. Both of these create demand for legal product interestingly enough. (Large scale piracy does nothing for demand, but DRM does not affect large scale piracy).
At anyrate, the apple system is well done, the movie folks should just take thier money, and I suppose complain loudly, but just take the money

Not much. If T.J. Maxx or other outfits or private individuals buy any product at retail price, they own it. Under Federal Trade Law, there are very little resale restrictions. Also, you can sell it for any price your want, that is as a profit or a loss. T. J. Maxx did a classic loss lead to get traffic into their stores from the iPad "sale." I say it is legal IMO.

In order for this (and all) Ponzi scheme to stay afloat, there must be more and more payers or more income from each individual payer to ensure the pyramid stays intact. i'm experiencing glitching when playing video.
mostly .avi on vlc - the video will stop for a second, pixelate for a few seconds then go back to normal.
i was experiencing some glitching in safari as well (shortperiods of beachballs) so i upgraded to a momentus xl hard drive (500gb 7200rpm hybrid) and now i have no issues remaining except the video.
i'm on a c2d white macbook, 2.4 ghz and have just done a clean install of snow leopard.
machine is running great with the new drive but if anyone knows what the hitch with videos might be i'd appreciate the insight - thanks.

Nope, but some vendors (Monoprice, for example) sell a Mini-DisplayPort->HDMI adapter which has integrated audio via USB. It is more bulky than a regular adapter, but it does the job.

I am SpyMac Club member until late and I must say most features are close to useless...forums are a mess, I don't have time for blogging/webdesigning, one takes a long while to upload something to the online disk and syncing is sketchy...
This means that .Mac is still pretty far off for me as well...after all, I can barely cope with answering my own emails...:(

I'd assume the 'other' category would be a mix of Lightworks, Media100, Premiere Pro and maybe even Sony Vegas. Mizzurah posted a link to the most recent version of the survey I was trying to recall and it has Avid at 76%, FCP at just under 20% and 'other' w/just under 5%.

People are seriously complaining about $3? I mean, Jesus. I understand wanting bug fixes and stuff for a version for free. But you really expect this guy to give you major updates for free, when this is probably his career at this point?! Do him, yourself and the rest of us that have to listen to you a favor.. go use another Twitter app and shut up. He�s already said if he could, he would gladly offer an upgrade price for 1.x users.. but that�s not on him. That�s Apple and the app store.

I am all against this nostalgia gaming. U have so many great games available on the ipad or iphone that utilise their potencial, why would u wanr to play games that have 12 pixels running around? I think it has more to do with people remembering the "good old times" when they havent had all that depression, fear and insecurity going on.
Not all of it is based of nostalgia. There is a reason a lot of people play these games today. Yes a good portion of these old games are ****, nobody is arguing that. There are some gems that have become immune to time though, Ms. PacMan, Warlords, Missile Command. All great games.
