Who honestly cares? Lame. I saw a black guy and a mexican guy chatting outside a bookstore yesterday. Let's focus on that.
I wonder if the mexican was getting info to write his "ese"? :p

I know of a company that makes....let's say trailers. They are built in Brazil. They ship them to the US in crates. When they get here, they are uncrated, the wheels and tongue are bolted on, and they slap an "Assembled in the USA" sticker on 'em and sling 'em out the door.

I thought I did all that myself, but apparently it's my "white advantage" (first heard that used by Al Gore). That's just distasteful to me. Now, maybe if my skin had been a different color I would have had a harder time and not been given a fair shake in interviews and such. I can accept that. But would it really have been *impossible* to overcome, or just an additional challenge?
It just depresses me to see people living their lives with the belief that absolutely nothing is within their control, and the only way to succeed is to wrestle the property of other people away from them by massing political power. That's just a damn depressing way to live - thinking you've got no chance, no hope, nothing to contribute or gain on your own.
This sort of thing pisses me off too (as a white male). Because not only does it diminish anything I do - perhaps somewhat rightfully so - it has the reverse effect of making a mountain for any minority to climb which might not even exist. The "white advantage" more or less tells a minority person "to get something a white person gets easily you're going to have to work harder" when this might not be true. It creates an incredibly demotivating false dilemma.

I'm embarrassed for him at the moment, for the way he's acting like a spolit 10 year old kid, going on about Obama's birth certificate and college degrees. Has he got nothing better to do?
no, he doesn't. and thankfully it should mean that he'll have no chance of getting anywhere near being President.

...Hummm.... thinking about it... maybe it's not so dumb? If each channel was $.99 and I could pick Ala-carte who I wanted, I know my Cable bill would go from $40 per-month to less than $10. Maybe they are onto something thinking about it?
Hahahahaha!
Ala-Carte. No. No, they won't have that.

Here's the gist of the problem: too generous state worker union pensions. I wouldn't be surprised that these pensions are extensively re-done to drastically cut its cost in order to reduce state budget deficits.
You are completely, either willfully or not, ignorant of the situation in Wisconsin.
Remember, they had a surplus until their Governor decided to give big business a tax cut almost identical to the "Deficit" they're not facing.

if apple came out with an iPhone the size of the RAZR or smaller with the same capacity/functionality as an 8GB iPod nano, id buy it.
if it did all that AND had functionality like a pda, id sell my grandmother to buy it.

No PowerPC version? Ouch. Lets hope that's not a growing trend for all you golden oldies out there :p
Yeah, I knew this was inevitable. (I'm running a 1.25 GHz G4 iMac.) That being said, for the applications I use (and this won't be one of them), I honestly don't see myself being forced to buy an Intel machine for a loooong time. Just because Adobe has decided to rpoceed in this manner doesn't mean other companies will follow suit. And you can bet that Apple definitely won't, at least not for a few more years. Heck, Classic was supported until what, last year essentially? And the G3 machines up until Leopard? ;)

""They're going to see it all eventually so who cares how they get it." Which seemed to be about web content, said the tipster."
How can that be interpreted about web content ?
A lot of people depend on their Internet porn, I guess.

aren't the Sandy Bridge CPUs better with battery life? isn't the MBA supposed to be an ultra portable, thus making battery life the most important aspect of the notebook? at least this is what's most important for me when considering the MBA, so the boost in CPU performance and battery life will cancel out the downgrade in GPU for me.

i'm pretty sure that adobe has said that CS3 will be universal, so you guys need to calm down. i highly doubt it will be intel only. as for the performance on intel macs of cs2, its kinda sluggish. it takes forever to launch. its pretty rough.

What has Obama really done besides go on vacation for the last few years? How the hell has he raised any bar? Tell me what all he promised to do and then tell me exactly how many of those things he has accomplished so far.
Looks like he's done quite a bit.
Even though I doubt you actually want to see anything here (http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-kept/) is a list of some things he promised to do and actually did. As far as politicians go Obama has been pretty good at keeping promises, I don't agree with him on everything but some of his problems with doing things come from the republicans stopping him and him having too much of a desire to compromise.

Replace the **** with a certain 4 letter word that begins with f and rhymes with duck.
Rich bastard who deserves to be shot 300 times in the heart.. Yes, I hate rich people... I am glad many died in WWII and other wars.. at least they can't take their money which is worthless anyway to heaven.
Whoa. Put the coffee down.
