I am about to order an ibook. I am running a bit against time because i would like to have the computer as soon as possible for a short course i
want to take.
When they say it is shipping within 3-5 days, is it more like three days, or more like five days - I am doing one or two minor upgrades on the original 12" ibook computer. One, with the keyboard from English to Western Spanish; and perhaps upgrade the HD to 60 GB. I�ll also be using the 2-day option for shipping.
How long do you think it is more likely to take for the computer to be delivered?

Some people get lucky and get their Macs days ahead of time. However, especially since you are ordering it for a short course, you should expect that it will take the maximum amount of time - and only order it if that is OK.

There seems to be a lot of DRAMAZ� on the Amazon UK 3DS discussions page about them not being shipped yet... I can understand if it was this time tomorrow and they hadn't shipped, but it doesn't come out until Friday, there's still time! :rolleyes: if it comes to it, HMV and Play.com both have the consoles in stock.
Thing is, I have really bad anxiety and although I had a panicky day today, I'm more anticipating getting it than I am anxious about not getting the console on launch day... but I guess that's what the pills are for :D ;)

A 4" iPhone would probably replace the 3.5" model so all the current apps would run on it no problem. It might require some tweaking for some apps but the upside is you get to update your app and sell it again.
If they build an iPhone with the same size screen as the iPod Nano then they could invite developers to develop mini-apps for that size screen to be used on the iPod Nano and iPhone Nano, creating a new AppStore category. Would be a huge market and very attractive to developers of news/info related apps.

Wouldn't that be so annoying in the dark, like the backlight on the keyboard of a MBP when your watching a movie?
I've thought about that but I personally cup my thumb around the bezel so I wouldn't notice it....

This is a beat up over podcast which apple admit is generic to downloaded audio , but I can see what Apple are concerned about. This company is attempting to register marks in areas that Apple already cover with POD and iPOD,
Claiming that mypodder sounds like iPOD is probably stretching it a little bit, but hey gotta keep those lawyers in Business, where is Denny Crane when you need him.

Yes, but that's just the industry bending to MS's will, not Microsoft actually producing a quality product. That's what's so frustrating here!

Apple did the same thing with the DTK hardware... they released a "Software Update" version, with a letter revision to the same build #'s, and it was to enforce security and/or entrap those running the 10.4 Intel build on non-Apple P4 hardware. Get it? Apple Software Update connects to Apple servers, so they know exactly to whom/what/where their "update" is being sent and installed.... then they cross-reference those IP's against logs of ADC member logins (and this is only necessary when assuming the user submitted false info during the Leopard registration, instead of their real name/address). IP match? Boom! Gotcha.
Maybe they just want to see how many of those IP's belong to Microsoft's net. :rolleyes:

Aperture and iPod the library can be transferred via iTunes 7 now also to iPod and regarded there.
