Please don't assume. First of all, I pay for 4 active ADC memberships. I usually buy about 4 WWDC tickets. This year as every year, I bought my own WWDC ticket. My employer (myself) is mean ;-) However this year for the first time in 5 years I wasn't able to attend because of knee surgery recovery running longer than expected. But saying that your not going to be able to compete with somebody like me with unlimited funds... isn't true. Mac OS X is the best platform to develop for if you want to level the playing field. You notice many of the Apple Design Awards went to SMALL companies? On the mac platform, many, many small companies, and one man shows are making very good money! You have just as much chance as me, even if I have more resources money, machines, and people. It's easy to innovate.

Leopard was the star show and only partially revealed. Therefore the revealed parts and Leopard sessions were the key points and those were pretty tight lipped and the mostly the value of going.

I am trying to find a good sound dock for my iPhone 4 that also has a FM radio. I bought the Sony RDP-XF100iP this weekend and am not overly impressed, given the cost. It is bass-heavy with little option to adjust the top-end ranges ( cymbals, etc ) and radio reception seems a bit shaky. All of that would be fine for a sub-$100 unit, but this is pushing $200.
Can anyone recommend a good option?

I know ATT drops more calls than Verizon but everyone thats tested both data plans (even professional reviewers like Walt Mossberg from AllthingsD) say that the ATT data plan is superior in every single way.
No one bitches about the ATT data plan, they just hate the dropped calls on every single call they make and I understand that people are angry about that.
But the iPad is not a phone and I'm certain most people buy Verizon iPads thinking that its better just because there are problems with ATT iPhone.
In the end you get half the 3G speed on Verizon and also won't be able to use the network in most parts of the world.
I wouldn't trade ATT for Verizon in terms of iPads.
I bitch about it. I get decent speeds at work but crap speeds sitting on my couch at home. I work 3/4 mile away from my home. My house is wood frame/brick. AT&T speeds and signal are inconsistent. This is obviously an opinion held by most of the public.

If people are less likely to use a cashier who is an ethnic minority (which I dispute, but anyway), would that make them less productive and less valuable for their employer?
So, if it is thought that an ethnic minority would actually do a job worse, because of other people's discrimination, then ethnicity technically would make a difference to their ability to do a job.
Would this be grounds for not employing them?
I just don't see that in real life and I think it would be almost impossible to prove in a court of law.
My belief is that we need to move beyond skin color and towards a system where the economically repressed are given a better chance to move up the ladder of success.

During normal use, my new PowerMac has a very consistent and normal sounding hum.
But sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night, and when idle and not sleeping, the PM's sound becomes unconsistent and goes up and down in about 10 second intervals.
It will be running, and it will sound like it's about to go to sleep...there will be a slight "click" sound, and then you can hear fans wind down and get quiet...then suddenly it "clicks" again, and the fans wind up and get increasingly louder.
It then continues to do this quiet-to loud-to quiet process indefinitely until I begin using it again.
It sounds like an interchanging powering down, then powering up, kind of thing. It's hard to explain.
It sort of does this (imagine the text below to represent the level of sound):
````````*click*----------..................*click*...........-----------``````````
(not sure if that makes any sense, but it's the best I could do).
It kind've sounds like it's trying to sleep, but doesn't quite get there, then powers up again...waits, then tries again.
I've got it set for my 56k to disconnect at 55 minutes of idle, and my PM to sleep at 1 hour of inactvity. I've noticed since I've had it that neither one has ever happened on its own.
Any help/info/advice is greatly appreciated!

I agree that you're taxing the wrong thing. If you tax mileage rather than gas, you're not encouraging higher fuel economy the same way a gas tax would. The ones who burn more fuel should brunt the burden. It's a lot easier to get a more fuel efficient vehicle than it is to make your necessary commute shorter.

This is the primary design flaw with the iPad. This tablet can't be the normal person's computer unless every normal person has a tech friend/relative to keep the tablet working/updated. So while Woz is correct that the tablet will be the normal person's computer, Apple's iPad is not yet that tablet.
I'd say that's also the primary design flaw of the PC, although it wasn't very hard to overcome. Every normal person DOES tend to have a tech friend/relative just to keep their PC working/updated. I'm that tech friend/relative in most of my social circles, and if you're posting here, you're sure to be one too.

Are you shooting in HD or SD? You can adjust the audio level in your clips. Make your adjustments, play it back to make sure its where you want it before you burn it. I usually drop it more because its easier to raise the volume on the tv.
