My friend is rebuilding a 240z from scratch. He rebuilt the stock motor but is putting a huge turbo on it...should be a beast :cool:

So i bought this 1.5TB external hard drive and didnt see it required reformatting or i wouldnt of bought it. So now i plug it into my mac, go to disk utilities and it doesnt even pick it up. Its just picking up my normal mac hard drive.
Any ideas of what i can do?

Just whilst my Mac's in for repair, I'm having to use a PC. Trying to replicate the experience though, and I have to say that GNOME Do is a fantastic piece of software, far superior to Spotlight or even Quiksilver.

I think it's funny all the comments about "is that enough?" I think this proves two things...
1. Most people don't quite understand just how much a million/billion/trillion of something is.
2. People think that this 12PB amount must have been decided upon arbitrarily, as if Apple didn't do a crapload of research to decide what a good starting amount would be.

What Apple needs to do is establish the "normal" rights a user gets when they buy a video. Of course every Disney film will come with the normal, default rights. Then if another studio wants to sell a video with different rights attached iTunes should clearly label the video in big red letters as being "crippled with restrictive usage rights" Then a pop-up dialog box should appear that explains this and asks "Do you really want this crap are would you prefer we mailed you the DVD copy" Finally after reading the warning label and clicking yes in the pop up you can download the film.
In my opinion the whole argument is moot. The video quality is so low I would never buy it.

I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again. And, raise taxes so our spending is less than our revenues and we can start paying off the debts Reagan, Bush and Bush left our grandchildren. It's time to start acting like grown-ups.
For the record, they are paying their fair share. The top 50% of wage earners pay over 95% of the income tax. Your disgusting attack on all conservatives wanting to '****' over all citizens is just that... disgusting. They don't pay 95% of all taxes. In addition, if you look at their income, they have tons of it that is not taxed (So, shouldn't they be paying even more? I don't have much income that isn't taxed, why should they?) They also have and control the vast, vast majority of the wealth in this country that is not taxed until sold for a gain (whether you realize it or not, there's some big concepts in that one sentence). Finally, all the other taxes are regressive or at best flat, which means the poor and middle classes are paying more than their fair share of those taxes. You don't seem to care about that, you're more interested in protecting 100-200 of the wealthiest of the wealthy.
Certainly you understand that increasing taxation on the wealthy and corporations certainly won't help. Certainly you understand that decreased taxation on the wealthy and corporations certainly hasn't helped, and in fact hurt. You see that, right? If not, here's a mirror, look over your shoulder at the Bush administration. It wasn't that long ago.

My question is - with the introduction of Thunderbolt through the Display Ports, do you guys think current model will be updated soon (so that the display support daisy chaining)?

Personally, I was in favor of using these methods on prisoners that were known terrorists, such as K.S.M.
If the US signs the United Nations Convention Against Torture, and then admits using "enhanced interrogation" methods as part of its policy in the "War on Terror", then there is a double standard. We are either advocates of torture, or we are not.
Until advocates of "enhanced interrogation" grow a pair and start calling it torture, which is what it is, there is no point in even having a discussion on the subject.

My sister gave me a zebra print toiletry bag (I travel a lot and asked for one) and the person who drew my name (my sister-in-law) gave me a big bottle of Asti champagne and two little bottles of Apple Brandy. In my family, people over 18 draw names and give a gift worth about $20 that starts with that year's letter. This year was "A". To make up for the lack of gifts, I bought myself a Kinect, Dance Central and a new mattress set :)
