For the specific Mac models (like the oogles of PowerMac revisions), would it be wise to just link directly to AppleSpec instead of making our own? We already have [[PowerMac]] with links to [[PowerMac_G4]] which then links to [[PowerMac_specificModel]]. Maybe the links on the PowerMac_G4 page should be to the AppleSpec PDFs for those models?

I had this issue too, on my VZW iPhone. Had nothing to do with any alarms that were set. I left work at 11:30pm, my phone had the correct time. I got home at 12:14am, and I noticed that my phone was now reading 11:14pm. As I had been driving in between those two times, I didn't notice when it made the switch, but I assume it was at midnight.
I went into settings and I noticed that my timezone said "Chicago", even though I live in NY. I deleted Chicago and set it to New York. The time switched to the correct time, and then a moment later fell back an hour again! Then I turned off "Set Time Automatically" and set it manually. That set the time to the correct time. I was curious to see if it would ever fix itself, so I set it back to Automatically, and then went to bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that it was still an hour behind, even though DST took effect at 2am. However, when I woke up this morning at around 11am, my phone was correct (as in, it matched my cable box which I assume updated automatically).

I am sorry I don't agree with the government giving these services as free hand outs to people who don't have health insurance or can't foot the bill.

I don't think anyone doubts the machine can do the expose effect (the iPad 1 does it in Safari just fine).
There are plenty of reasons it might have been turned down for their final switcher implementation. One, the final iOS allows a variable number of programs to remain open depending on their memory requirements. The expose implementation implies that 9 can be open. That's inconsistent UI. Two, as others have mentioned, you can't always tell the difference between apps at a glance from little screenshots. So they went with icons in the end.
The current implementation is also inconsistent in the UI department, in that the same action and will result in two different actions.
In some cases, a hold > jiggle > close will result in an app shutting down, and other times the same action set (hold > jiggle > close) will result in an app being deleted.

Okay, I fixed it! I enter in the -advmethods in advanced and that got me one to work on straight away! Apparently this is quite a common problem, so if you're having problems with your Folding@Home, then try that tag and it'll probably work. Now I'm using my full CPU and Folding away!

With their proprietary dock connector becoming ubiquitous in cars and airplanes, it's only a matter of time before the government uses anti-trust law to crack down on Apple. Not because they really believe iPod dominance threatens the "public good" (whatever that is), but because it will be a way to extort protection money from Apple (i.e. campaign contributions) and sell government services (regulatory predation) to their competitors.

3.33 ghz i7 6-core is better than a 2.4 ghz 8-core Mac Pro for Logic imo. You want each core to be fast too so none will hit their ceiling.

Friday is usually the miscellaneous sessions day, when the less important (or popular I might say) sessions are held. Of course you can leave whenever you want but Friday is still a full day. I would plan on staying the entire day if you can. Leaving Saturday morning is best as you can relax on Friday :)
Last year, in the original schedule, all sessions on Friday ended before lunch and lunch was the last item on the schedule. During the week, they added a couple of repeat sessions in the first slot after lunch. But, still, all sessions were over by 3PM.
I don't expect Apple to post the full schedule 'till a couple weeks before the conference. (I agree it would be nice if they posted it sooner.)

Called 2 local stores...on the second one, they were literally ringing up the last 3 they had (16GB)...however, she called her district manager who was heading down to her store from one further north (about 65 miles away) that had 8 left. The manager is bringing 2 down with him on his way. Those 2 WILL be picked up by me after work!

Stop dogging on Word. Word and Powerpoint are GREAT apps. But only when on a mac. The Windows versions are horrid. When It comes to value, I think Office is better with the education version. I haven't been as comfortable with Keynote as I have with Powerpoint. To everyone his own, but Word is a GREAT app.

Will the Lion Server allow me to keep one set of data accessible from my iMac & MBP so they are basically working with only one set of files? I don't want to migrate data from my iMac to my new MBP because between the iLife projects I don't want them living on separate machines... I simply want to close iMovie or excel for example and pick right up where I left up on the MBP once I'm upstairs! I set up file sharing and accessing the iPhoto library from the iMac takes forever to load, nevermind the loss of certain features like location tagging and I've yet to get iMovie to open the iMac library without having it crash. I know I sound like an total moron here, but the good news is when it comes to computers, I am, and I've accepted that.;)

Yeah I wish this case was out when I got my iPod. The back of mine has a few scratches on it. I've had this case for a few days now and I love it. The cut is perfect.
