now a 2-month old PowerMac is already becoming obsolete.
I certainly hope you didn't buy a Power Mac two months ago, especially since Apple announced the intel switch over a year ago.
Classic was supported until what, last year essentially? And the G3 machines up until Leopard? ;) :cool:
The original G3's were only suppored through 10.2.
While I wish I could run this on my quad, it makes total sense. They're not "abandoning" anyone since this is a new app, and probably won't have a final version shipping for months. If they're expecting slow adoption of this anyway, why bother doing a version that people will be abandoning as fast as they are adopting?
While the intel only thing is a negative, I'm very happy to see any new audio apps appear that are alternatives to STP. Soundtrack Pro is a turd and has been since its release what, a year and a half ago? Apple needs to realize that shipping an app that is complete garbage is not acceptable.
I'd much rather run Sound Forge under parallels than use STP.

I will be going to meet up with someone else who I have a b'day present for - and who wants to buy Leopard. But I'm not planning on being there until pretty much 6pm and leaving shortly thereafter to retire to the nearest pub.

I love how so many here talk about needed cuts, but never talk about needing to raise taxes. :rolleyes:
actually the reason I didn't add raising taxes that is that I don't think it would generate much more revenue. It might help but it wouldn't do much in comparison to just cutting waste. Also I think that atm a lot of businesses would just give up if they had taxes raised.
But the thing is the US economy will collapse no matter what happens. After the collapse it would definitely be better if there was a low tax/low government spending environment.
What we need to do is GET RID OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE and IRS.. thats what we need to get rid of and bring the jobs back from India.. We also need to take complete control of the banks and corporations - power to the people.. or freedom, something this country does not have at present.
Errr so the government would control the corporations. Honestly I would leave to go and live in india if my government did that. Getting rid of the FED and the IRS would be nice though!

No, it has now been confirmed. At the time I posted that comment, it was just speculated, but Microsoft has now confirmed pricing and availability of the older Xbox.
As of right now, Microsoft is no longer making original 360s. Every 360 they build is the new one. So, if you really want the older one, you only have a limited time until stock of them is gone.
They also announced price drops for both of the older consoles as well. The current Arcade unit is dropping from $199 down to $149, and the current Elite is dropping from $299 down to $249. I would guess those prices will stay like that until the holiday season, and then any remaining stock of them at that point will be cleared out.

Those were the two good games... Then there were things like Pac-Pix, Pok�mon Rush etc. Also the original DS was really ugly, especially compared to the PSP :) In the end though, DS Lite came out as the winner.
One thing I really liked about the DS was that it came with a Metroid Prime Hunters demo, so there was at least something to play with immediately. Same thing with the AR cards included with the 3DS.
I'm really looking forward to future 3DS games, but then I always remember how the thing is region locked :( I have lots of Japanese and American games, for example Ouendan 1 & 2, Taiko no Tatsujin, Phoenix Wright etc. Many of these games didn't come out in Europe at all or came around a year late.

I am currently deciding whether to buy a 360 Slim or a PS3 Slim. PS3 has won out for one single reason. It has an inbuilt 3D blu ray player that will be getting support for years to come. Had the 360 included a blu ray player, I would be buying it. Sorry MS.

They pay lip service about being for the common man but the common man voted conservative because they understand that budgets have to be balanced in households so it should be the same with the government.
And apparently, gays should be kept from marrying, abortion should be illegal, and many other things listed here. They aren't that different from our conservatives in those respects at all, and that makes them scary. They scapegoated to get elected as well. Don't act as if they didn't. They're divisive, nasty people from what I've seen so far. Harper being right up there at the top.

Set your phone & computer's time zone to Arizona time, and sync again. Does that help?
